IFIF stands for Idanha Film and Internet Festival, is a festival that takes place in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal, on the 14, 15 and 16 of September 2009.

IFIF is active in helping to take daily steps to change the world towards a sustainable way. IFIF does its role developing a cultural festival with emphasis on global and social change. We have 3 projects to empower people to use their art skills in order to take help a movement of global change: Green Tube, Planet Scale and Talent Bin.
Our first action is GREEN TUBE.

The Green tube is a revolutionary tool. In times of troubled polemic and constant threats against the planet and its people, civil rights of freedom and privacy, the IFIF brings its contribution to a problem growing tenser each day.
Through the Green tube, every video author may publish independently itīs work, and by doing so, automatically registers itīs rightīs of intellectual property. In IFIF we believe the best way of guaranteeing your author rights is by showing your work to everyone.
All movies hosted in the Green tube will be viewable free from costs, on real time, through a video-stream technology. Every movie will still be possible to download in higher qualities, by divX compression, DVD or HDDV, in exchange of a minimal amount of money, from which 90% will go to the author, 10% for helping the Green tube achieve its self-sustainability.
This way Green tube will be a bridge between every video author environmentally committed and the public each movie needs to reach.
Further than that, the Green tube will create a new space for social intervention and citizenship, without needing labels, distributors or show rooms.
All the Green tube needs is you.
All you need is a cam and your will. All the rest will follow as a natural consequence of your effort.
The Green tube is an active tool of global change, not a mere passive server hosting a bunch of videos launched by hazard in the overwhelming stream of the Internet.
The Green tube wants to organize, highlight and support the independent and alternative stream of all green committed video production.
The Green tube is a tool for the people, made by the people. Be aware and let us spread that awareness all around the globe.

This year's festival first edition will coincide with the
VIII European Geoparks Conference and will be focused on a theme that is in line with the festivalīs paradigm - the conservation of our worldīs natural heritage - and, more specifically, GeoParks in Europe and worldwide.
